Tops At Animation Festival
Two recent Millersville University alums placed first in the 2008 West Virginia Flash Animation Festival, beating out some of the top schools in the country including Tyler, Cleveland Institute of Art, Kutztown, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.
Millersville’s Nick Fox and Simon Littlejohn both received first place awards in their categories: Fox in the personal resume category with the interactive flash site “Clean and Sharp” and Littlejohn in Dramatic Short with his movie “Outlaw.” They both won cash prizes of $100. Nancy Mata, assistant professor of art at Millersville, worked with both students. Littlejohn graduated in May 2008 and Fox graduated in December 2007. Both were art majors.
This eighth annual festival consisted of categories such as: Comedy, Drama, Resume, Professional Website, Experimental, Artistic Installation, Advertisement, Flash Video, Interactive Game, Educational and High School Entry.
