Recent Millersville Alum Wins Competition
May graduate Altaress Craig, of Mountville, Pa., was recently recognized for her work by the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation in Harrisburg. Under the guidance of Dr. Minoo Ghoreishi, professor of business administration, Craig submitted her business plan entitled "Clipse Style Salon" and was awarded a $2,000 check and a trophy for her work in the undergraduate division of the competition.
Ghoreishi accompanied Craig for her final presentation at Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center at Camp Hill this spring, right before graduation. The event had several categories with intense competition. The finalists were from Penn State University, Dickinson College, Wilson College and Penn State Medical School. Categories included graduate, undergraduate and existing businesses with less than two years in existence and high growth. The purpose was to promote entrepreneurship in the communities.
