The Impact of War on American Presidential Politics
Dr. Robert J. Bresler will be the featured speaker at the Friends of Ganser Library Fall Lecture on the Millersville University campus on September 9 from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This lecture continues a more than 25 year tradition of lectures and will be held in the Lehr Room of Gordinier Hall and is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will follow the lecture.
“Since the mid-20th century America has been involved in four protracted and bloody conflicts -- World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and now Iraq. Each has had a great impact on American presidential politics in different and often unexpected ways," said Bresler. He received a Ph.D. in politics from Princeton and recently retired after a 44-year teaching career, most of which was at Penn State-Harrisburg.
The Friends of Ganser Library is an organization that promotes community awareness of Millersville’s library services.
