It’s on to Grad School

Two physics students from Millersville University who started life thousands of miles apart are now on a similar path – graduate school at Penn State University (PSU). The two Millersville University graduates, Jeremy Low who immigrated from Singapore to Lancaster, Pa., with his family, and Drew Pulsifer from Danville, Pa., will be attending Penn State this fall.  The two will be a part of PSU’s Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics (ESM) as graduate students.

Low practices the principles of physics for the fun of it.  He recently built a Jacob’s ladder also know as the “Frankenstein Machine,” with help from his uncle to “see the sparks fly and study their physical properties.”

Pulsifer began welding as soon as his father permitted; he has been welding and building ever since.  He had a hand in the design of most of this year’s experimental physics senior research projects at Millersville.  He also helped to engineer and construct Millersville University’s Foucault pendulum working alongside professor Dr. John Dooley.

Both Low and Pulsifer will start at PSU this fall on full scholarships that will cover tuition and expenses.
