'Ville Idol Takes Center Stage
Who has what it takes to sing their way into Millersville University’s heart? The second annual 'Ville Idol singing competition, sponsored/produced by the Millersville University Alumni Association in cooperation with the Millersville University Alumni Services office, will be coming back to the campus this fall. Last year's winners included alumnus Matthew Hepler ‘83, Conshohocken, and MU student winner Theresa Walker of Lancaster; runner-ups were alumnus Angel Varner ’05, Middletown, and MU student Leslie Barton, Mountville.
The competition is open to all current students and alumni and boasts the grand prize of $1,000 each to the top student and top alumnus. The format of the competition consists of an audition and a maximum of three performances in Lyte Auditorium/Alumni Hall. There will be genres of music selected for each performance. Contestants will be scored on vocal ability, stage performance and appearance.
