Prospective Graduate Student Recruiting Events for Spring 2008
Our regular slate of graduate studies recruitment events is in full swing. A graduate studies "Open House" is being held on Wednesday, January 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The event will take place in Lyle Hall (1st Floor Parlor Room) with a parking lot directly in front of Lyle Hall. Graduate admissions staff and faculty members from our graduate programs will be on hand to meet prospective students and answer questions. Refreshments will be available.
Two "lunch and learn" recruiting sessions will be held on Tuesday, February 5 and Thursday, April 3, from 12 noon to 1:00pm. The February event will take place in Lyle Hall Room #5 (2nd Floor) with a parking lot directly in front of Lyle Hall. Lunch will be provided free of charge. The graduate dean and his admissions staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you get started. The April event will take place at Liberty Place, the university's downtown Lancaster campus.
An evening graduate information session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 from 5:30 to 7:30pm, in the Lyle Hall (1st Floor Parlor Room). Graduate admissions staff will be on hand to discuss the application process, degree program requirements,and financial aid opportunities.
Applications Encouraged for MED in Gifted and Talented and MS in Emergency Management
The university's two newest graduate programs are still accepted applications from interested students for the summer and fall semesters in 2008. Information about both programs can be found on this website or by calling Graduate Admissions at 717-872-3099.
Graduate Student Research Support Funding is now available ...
We are pleased to announce a new opportunity for graduate students conducting course-related or thesis research this semester. Grants of up to $500 per student are now available to support your graduate research. The grant funds can be used for direct research expenses including collect or purchase data, buy materials and supplies, travel to libraries or museums, and other eligible research expenses. Grant money can also be used to present the results of your research at professional conferences. The grants are awarded on a competitive basis and applications will be accepted in the early spring semester for the next round of funding.
