Research Funding for Class Projects, Thesis, and Conference Travel - Several sources of on-campus funding are available for undergraduate and graduate students seeking to conduct course-related or degree-related research.

Student Research Grant Program - Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for these grants, which have a maximum award amount of $500. This funding is made available through an Academic Affairs' performance funding allocation. Due date for applications in the next round of funding is October 3, 2008. Noonan Endowment Fund Grant Program - Undergraduate and graduate students may also be eligible to apply for Noonan Grants. Information about Noonan Endowment Grants is available at the Academic Affairs/Provost's website. Due date for applications in the next round of funding is September 17, 2008.

Undergraduate and graduate students should also consult their academic department to determine if additional department or university sources of funding are available to them.

Masters Thesis Guidelines - The Graduate Course and Program Review Committee and Office of Graduate Studies and Research have worked together to produce the new Master's Thesis Guidelines and Requirements to assist graduate students in their quest to produce excellent theses. The new guidelines, finalized in October 2008, are meant to be applicable across all graduate programs. More specific directions for a students' specific discipline are available from graduate programs coordinators and department offices.

  • New off-campus cohort being planned for MED in Special Education
    Graduate Studies, in collaboraton with the School of Education, is promoting a new graduate cohort for the MED in Special Education to be delivered on-site in Harrisburg. Courses are being planning for delivery at the Dixon University Center and in an on-line format. Recruitment for the cohort has started and interested students should contact the Graduate Studies office at 872-3099.
  • New Graduate Student Orientation
    The next graduate studies orientation event for new graduate students (for spring admits) is scheduled for Monday, January 12, 3:00 to 6:00pm. For more information, click the link at the left under "For Current Students."
  • New Graduate programs in Emergency Management and Gifted Education
    The newly approved MS in Emergency Management (on-line) and M.Ed. in Gifted Education programs, both started in fall semester 2007, are currently inviting applications for the spring 2008 term.
