Empower
Peer Educators Manager
The
Student Manager assists the Coordinator with overseeing all programs
and events. She or he also manages the general office duties on
a daily basis at the Women’s Center. The Student Manager assists
with and facilitates programs. She or he also Helps other staff
members develop programming and campus events. This position can
range from 15-20 hours a week and can be used as a Co-Op opportunity.
EPE
Women’s
Educators (WE’s) are hired to promote women’s issues. The duties
and responsibilities include attending weekly staff meetings,
presenting workshops as requested in a professional manner, working
regularly scheduled office hours, and assisting in planning a
publicizing all Women’s Center activities. WE’s work approximately
5 hours per week.
WomenSpeak
Editor
The
student occupying this position will serve as editor of WomenSpeak,
a monthly newsletter, and create publicity for the Women’s Center.
She or he will research information relevant to women’s issues
and create and design the WomenSpeak Newsletter. This student
must demonstrate a personal commitment to women’s issues and the
Women’s Center program. This position can range from 10-16 hours
per week for the Fall and Spring semesters and my be counted as
a Co-Op opportunity. Additional duties include preparing news
releases, flyers, brochures, and general public information about
the Women’s Center. Further responsibilities include participating
in the activities of the Women’s Center.
