The STEM Education concentration of the Masters in Assessment, Curriculum and Teaching is designed for educators interested in learning the foundational tools and pedagogy for integrated STEM Education. Through a multidisciplinary approach, this program helps prepare graduates to integrate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics by ensuring that they can:

  • Integrate student-centered learning approaches to improve the quality of K-12 education and interaction with the larger community
  • Incorporate active project-based learning
  • Develop and use skills in analysis, problem solving and critical thinking
  • Create varied and targeted assessments that effectively measure student learning aligned to content standards and leveraging emergent instructional models
  • Develop methods of evaluating and improving curricular design through the use of student assessment data
