Bob Banerjee
Business and Technology

Dr. Bob Banerjee
Date: Wednesday April 22, 2015
Time: 7pm
Location: Roddy Hall, Room 261

Bob Banerjee, genetically an Asian Indian, made in England and now living in the US for over a decade working for an Israeli Intelligence company, will be sharing an equally diverse look at academia, technology and its application in the real world. With a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the UK, he is a frequent speaker in the domain of physical security in his capacity as Senior Director for Global Training and Knowledge.

With a British sense of humor that invariably lands him in hot water, he will cover some of the latest technologies in use in surveillance video analytics and some key implications of Big Data on our society when followed to its logical conclusion. He will also be focusing on business, and how to make the technologies you will eventually invent be relevant.

He has promised that his presentation will have something for everyone, from the Freshman to the Dean.

Dr. Bob Banerjee is Senior Director of Training and Development for NICE Systems' Security Division. A recognized Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) expert, Dr. Banerjee has more than a decade of experience, having held senior marketing and global product management positions with several IT and software firms, including Bosch, Intuitive Systems, OneSource Information Services, Axeda Systems and Nortel Networks. He is a frequent speaker at security industry conferences and has published numerous articles on PSIM and other security topics. He holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the Advanced Research Center at the University of Bristol, England.
