You should use the doctoral degree application process if you:

  • have completed a master's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in the United States or its equivalent from a similar institution abroad
  • are seeking admission to a doctoral degree program

  • are seeking admission to a master’s degree program
  • are seeking admission to BOTH a master’s degree program AND a certification program

  • are undecided about a graduate area of specialization
  • are not interested in a master's degree program
  • are seeking to earn permanent teaching certification (Instructional II)
  • are interested in a graduate-level institute or educator workshop
  • are completing work for transfer to another institution (transient)

 You should use the international student application process if you:

  • are not a United States citizen or a permanent resident in the United States 
  • have completed a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in the United States or its equivalent from a similar institution abroad
