Do I have to attend the Fall Orientation Program?

Asking this question is similar to asking the question should I go to class. Orientation is a prime time to learn about all the different activities and experiences that you will have as a Millersville University student. For that reason Orientation is Mandatory, and we cannot wait to see you! If you have specific questions please call us at 717-871-5553.

What do I do if I have decided to change majors?

During Orientation you can not change your major. Once you are given an academic advisor you should work with him or her to ensure a smooth transition from one major to another. During Orientation there will be times to meet with various departments on campus. Those meetings provide a good opportunity to see if a major is the right one for you.

What will the parking situation be on Move in Day?

Due to the large influx of student on that day, parking can become quite hectic. We ask that all non-essential moving cars remain clear of the Residence Hall area. There will be no tickets issued as long as you are legally parked and not blocking sidewalks or parked on the grass. We just ask that everyone tries to work together and be safe while moving into your new home.

Will there be programming for younger siblings?

Unfortunately we do not have programming for younger siblings. We realize their importance in a family as well as the moving process, however please keep in mind that this will be a very busy day and will be tiring for them. We would encourage them to visit later in the semester during Family/Community Day, which is being held on November 7th, 2009.
