General Industrial Technology Option
Degrees Offered: Bachelor of Science and Associate of Technology
Information effective for students admitted since fall 2007.
The general technology option provides a well-rounded and broad-based introduction to industrial technologies. The coursework included in the general technology option will provide experiences in electricity/electronic, mechanical, manufacturing, drafting/design, and graphic communication technologies.
The coursework you'll complete is divided into two basic categories – general education (required by the University) and departmental requirements (major coursework). Technical Literacy Core: 9 credit hours (3 courses)
- ITEC 110 - Communication & Information Systems (3 cr.)

Management Core: 15 credit hours (5 courses)

- A maximum of six credit hours of cooperative education will be counted towards graduation requirements.
- OSEH 320: Safety Engineering Principles, is required for all construction technology majors.
