Due to rain in the forecast Saturday morning, the start time of the undergraduate ceremony has been delayed until 11:30 a.m. There will still be one ceremony outside in Biemesderfer Stadium. Gates open at 10 a.m.
Welcome Dr. Atwater
The Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology welcomes Dr. Mark Atwater to its faculty. Dr. Atwater's main responsibility will be in the manufacturing area where he is currently teaching Materials and Processes, Processing Metallic Materials, and CNC Machining. Dr. Atwater has extensive preparation for this area, most recently earning his Ph.D. at North Carolina State in Materials Science and Engineering. Prior to his Ph.D. in 2011, he earned his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Atwater also holds degrees in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Automated Manufacturing Technology, and Toolmaking Technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology, along with certification in Nanofabrication Manufacturing Technology from Penn State University.
Dr. Atwater and his wife make their home in Southern Lancaster County.
