Student Success and Retention

Dr. M. William Redmond, Jr.

The Office of Student Success and Retention provides leadership, inspiration, management, and guidance for the planning and implementation of the University’s retention strategies. Working with the entire University community, our services and programs are designed to provide students with the necessary tools for success as scholars and citizens.

Our professional staff effectively assist students, faculty and staff in areas such as registration, academic advisement, choosing a major, mentoring, educational benefits for veterans, dual enrollment, and referral to the many resources available to Millersville students.

College preparatory programs are also offered for students from the sixth through the twelfth grades. Through a series of integrated programs, pathways and partnerships, Millersville provides an educational pipeline that supports emerging scholars on their journey from high school to college and through graduation.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote the success and graduation of students by fostering an inclusive campus climate. By collaborating with the University and local communities, the Office of Student Success and Retention provides effective academic support programs and services for all students and focuses on closing the gaps in retention and completion rates between underrepresented and majority students.
