Description: On October 5 at 6 p.m., an exhibition featuring the work of Claire Giblin will open as part of Lancaster First Friday at the Ware Center, Millersville University Lancaster.

This month-long exhibit, which will be on display through October 28, features artist Claire Giblin, who began creating artwork at a very young age and studied fine art independently, attending life sketching, painting and art history courses in New York City, as well as being tutored in studio techniques by her uncle, Western artist and historian Vincent Mercaldo. Giblin continued her studies in PA at Lebanon Valley College, Millersville University and Franklin & Marshall. She combines mediums, using acrylic, watercolor, oils, pencil, ink, encaustic and pastels on paper and canvas. Her paintings have won awards and acclaim by jorors and critics and are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
