Description: The Ware Center, Millersville University Lancaster presents "Retrospect, Introspect, Circumspect," an exhibition by Jon L. Johnson. In this exhibit, which will be on display at The Ware Center from July 6 through July 30, details his journey from representational images in his early career to more recent abstract works.

On July 6, as part of Lancaster First Friday, a kick-off event will be held from 5-8 p.m. at The Ware Center to celebrate the exhibit's opening.

The exhibit is available for viewing Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

About the Artist: Jon L. Johnson, a Lancaster native, studied with the renowned local artist Charles X. Carlson during his teens. After attending the York Academy of Arts, he worked in Visual Merchandising for the Bon Ton Stores. Johnson has also worked in interior design for two Lancaster companies. He creates a visual conversation through his work in acrylic, pencil, pen and ink and greeting cards.
