I'd Rather Knot

I'd Rather Knot

Use a long rope. Tie overhand knots in the rope - one for each participant. Have the participants grab on to the rope anywhere with one hand. They cannot use the other hand for this exercise. Any use of the other hand or any letting go of the rope will constitute failure and the group must start over - retie any untied knots. The object is for the group to untie all of the knots in the rope.

Variation - give everyone a piece of masking tape and a marker. They should write on the tape something to do with the theme (i.e. if challenges, write on the tape a challenge that they are facing). Tape the pieces of tape onto the rope next to a knot. When the knots are all undone, the tape will remain and you can read through the various things that were written.
