Coaches & Mentors

Coaches & Mentors Role

Educational Support Coach

Educational Support Coaches supply the individualized and expanded services and supports. Under the guidance of the Program Director, Educational Support Coach Coordinator, and Faculty Advisor, the student and Educational Support Coach meet to put into action all student based activity. Educational Support Coaching is a working partnership that focuses on the ‘processes of learning.’ Together with a coach, students examine their learning styles, habits of working, independent living skills, community mobility & safety competencies, current difficulties or barriers to success, and other student based activities.  Then together this team (coach and student) work to create and put in place more effective strategies than are the norm. Each student coach meets with the Program Director once each month to review activities, progress, and increase competencies.

Peer Mentors

Mentors support students at Millersville University by identifying and broadening extra-curricular interests, accessing various University resources, and encouraging academic and social success in college life.
