Employment After Graduation

Your Rights and Responsibilities as a Job Seeker

Many MU students wait until after their graduation to meet with a counselor to discuss their job search. Ideally we would like students to start their job search two semesters before graduation. When working with students, we ask them to think about their career goals and encourage them to complete the My Career Goals worksheet, (add handout) designed to help them develop their short and long term career goals.

MUCCN
Millersville University has partnered with College Central Network to provide students, alumni, and employers a 24/7 employer database. This site allows employers, who are looking specifically for MU students, the ability to post their positions and search the resume database of MU students.

During the Fall and Spring Semesters employers will visit the campus to interview students for openings within their organizations. Seniors are encouraged to take advantage of this service by downloading their resume on MUCCN. Students will receive emails that will notify them when employers are coming on campus and the deadlines to notify our office of their interest. We will also be sending emails to faculty asking them to encourage their students to apply to positions that are related to their discipline. Students must have a resume posted with MUCCN to participate.
