The Center for Public Scholarship is sponsoring the Reflect & Connect Series, a series of gatherings where community members--faculty, staff, students, and residents in the larger community--read short pieces of literature on civic engagement, reflect on the literature, and connect with the community. The year-long series features four meetings each semester from 5-6:30 in the Ford Atrium in McComsey Hall. Dates for the sessions: FALL SEMESTER-- 9/9, 10/14, 11/11, 12/9; SPRING SEMESTER--1/27, 2/24, 3/24, 4/28. Participants are welcome to join individual sessions or attend them all. Forum to educate participants and discuss the current economic crisis, including stimulation packages and bailouts. Featuring Dr. Mike Gumpper, Millersville University’s Department of Economics; Dr. Ken Smith, Millersville University’s Department of Economics; and Eric Blazer, Millersville University’s Department of Business Administration. Forum precedes CCERP’s major Policy Conference: Sustaining an American Middle Class in a Globalized Economy.
