In the summer of 2010 and 2011, Kasey worked for the Wayne County Emergency Management Agency. She updated emergency operation plans for the assisted living facilities, personal care homes, nursing homes, child care centers, and over 50 dams located within the county. This past summer, Kasey completed an Environmental Health and Safety internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This internship involved construction hazard surveillance, dust sampling and analysis, fire extinguisher training, fire and life safety surveillance, environment of care rounds, hazardous waste cleanup, noise sampling, indoor air quality sampling, etc.
