Dr. Kirsten Bookmiller is a faculty member in the Department of Government and Political Affairs at MU as well as the Director of Global Education and Partnerships for the university. Her teaching and research program is in the area of international humanitarian policy and law. She has forthcoming books on the United Nations and UNICEF.

Sepideh Yalda, Ph.D.

Sepideh Yalda is a Professor of Meteorology at Millersville University. Her research interests are in the areas of climate dynamics and regional climate change. She also has a strong interest in science education and research related to improving science education at the pre-college and undergraduate levels. She earned her Ph.D. in Meteorology from Saint Louis University in 1997. She is a member of the American Geophysical Union, American Meteorological Society, SIGMA XI Scientific Research Society, and the Royal Meteorological Society. She serves on a number of national committees including the National Environmental Education & Training Foundations Eyes on the Environment Advisory Committee, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research University Relations Committee, and the advisory panel for the Cooperative Program for Operational Meteorology, Education and Training (COMET).
