Graduate Admissions
General Information
The MSEM program operates on a rolling admissions basis, which means that you can apply at any time and begin your studies in the next upcoming term (Fall or Spring). If you are ready to begin the program but don’t have time to complete the application process, you may register as a non-degree student; for more information about this option, click here.

Admission Requirements
To apply for admission, you must submit to the Office of Graduate Studies:
- A completed graduate application and application fee (which is paid online).
- The online application includes a document upload feature for the submission of your required goal statement, an optional electronic letter of recommendation request system, and secure application fee payment processing.
- Upload your resume and professional goals statement. Your statement should include experiences which have influenced your decision to graduate studies and a self-assessment of your potential for advanced study and service in your chosen field.
- An official transcript from all institutions of higher education attended; verification of completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- If your undergraduate grade point average (GPA) was below 2.75, an official score from either the GRE or MAT test that was taken within five years of the date of application. If your undergraduate GPA was 2.75 or higher, the test is not required.
- Three professional letters of recommendation from non-relatives (online, in the application system).
Deadlines
The MSEM program operates on a rolling admission basis, which means that you may apply at any time and begin in the next upcoming semester (Fall or Spring).
In order to give yourself enough time to be admitted before you begin your studies, plan on applying at least four months in advance. If you will require financial aid, add two months to the process.
However, you may begin your studies at any time at a non-degree student. Then, if you are admitted to the program, your credits will be transferred to the degree. A maximum of nine (9) credits may be earned in non-degree status. Non-degree applicants should complete an on-line application. The on-line application portal accepts the $40 application fee using most major credit cards. The on-line application is our easiest and most convenient method for submitting your non-degree application information and allows faster processing of your materials. Your non-degree application will be processed with a few day and you will be able to register, with permission of the instructor. For more information about non-degree status, click here.
