CDRE and HAP Prepare Healthcare and Preparedness Seminar

The Center for Disaster Research and Education (CDRE) in collaboration with the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) will be hosting FEMA’s Health Sector Emergency Preparedness Course on January 10, 2018 in Millersville’s Student Memorial Center.

The course, intended for health providers, addresses the four core emergency preparedness elements outlined in the 2016 CMS Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Supplies Rule.

This full day program will assist healthcare providers from across the region with assessing, analyzing, testing and updating their facility’s preparedness.  Numerous natural disasters in recent years have demonstrated the necessity to work with our healthcare providers to make sure that this vital and critical infrastructure is prepared to deal with any potential disaster scenario.
