Detection of Drugs and Their Metabolites in Water using HPLC

There is great concern about the health effects of pharmaceutical products in water. This includes non metabolic drugs and their pharmacologically active metabolites that are released into waste water. These compounds are also biomarkers of water pollution. The goal of this project is to investigate the presence of drugs and their metabolites in water using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
