Continuing the Tradition: Senior Class Gift
The Senior Class gift is a longstanding tradition at Millersville University. Since 1866 senior classes have demonstrated their giving spirit by raising funds for a class gift that honors its member’s time at the university. The gifts proclaim “we were here!” and leave a lasting mark on campus.
Senior Class gifts benefit students and the campus community. Past senior gifts include:
- 1993: The gazebo by the pond
- 1995: The clock at the corner of Caputo Hall
- 1999-2000: The campus entry gateway
- 2006: Diversity Mural (currently hanging in McComsey Hall)
- 2007: Cleaning up the Pond
Other class gifts have also supported:
- Ganser Library
- McComsey Hall
- The Education Building
- The MU Fund
The Marauder Statue Project
The Classes of 2008 and 2009 joined forces to make history at Millersville University by donating a life-sized bronze Marauder statue. Once completed, this bronze statue will stand over six feet tall as a towering symbol of Marauder pride. It will make its home near our newly renovated Student Memorial Center.
Over $40,000 is needed for the project and we need the help of all seniors!
