How To Apply

Print out our Student Employment Application or get one from one of the dining halls on campus. Fill out the application and return it with your class schedule to the checkers’ station in the Upper Deck or North Side Bistro, or to any dining retail operations cashier. Please note that you must bring your original Social Security card to your interview.

Positions Offered

Retail

Server
Assists in various serving tasks in setup, serving and cleanup.

Dish Room Worker
Assists with student line trays, dishwashing and bussing table wares to the service areas.

Kitchen Prep
Assists in production area food prep, as fryer, grill worker, sandwich making and salad area prep.

Student Chef
Comes to Millersville with some experience in Institutions or Restaurants. Will assist the cook in all areas of preparations including meat grilling, carving, sauces, vegetable prep and assists with catering functions.

Early Prep
Pizza making, sandwich prep, lunch prep and service line setup.

Early Stock Room Worker
"Strong arm job" to assist in placement of incoming supplies.

Student Checker
Morning position as ID card checker on weekends at Gordinier.

Night Floor Maintenance Worker
Sweeps and mops floors after the day's production is complete.

Night Maintenance Worker
Cleans and sets up equipment after production ends.

Bake Shop Worker
Early position to assist with baker task and cleanup.

Upper Deck (Gordinier Hall)

Checker, line server, dish room, kitchen helper
Gordinier's morning checker will set up the card reader machine for the breakfast meal, checking student ID's insuring they have their own card and the card has a valid meal plan. The checker will act as a cashier, and will accept cash from paying customers. The checker will open and cash out at scheduled times, and will be assigned clean-up tasks at the end of the shift as needed. Line servers assist in various serving tasks in setup, serving and cleanup. Dish Room Helpers assist with student line trays, dishwashing and bussing table wares to the service areas. Kitchen helper needed for kitchen prep work and grill work. Experience in kitchen work would be helpful. Uniform shirt and name tag are required.

North Side Bistro (Lyle Hall)

Lunch Workers  Line, kitchen helpers, dish room
Dinner Workers  Line, kitchen helper, dish room
Attend service lines which may include deli, pizza, desserts, Panini grill, or hot food stations. Worker may set-up lines, refill areas, bake pizzas, cut and dish desserts, etc. Clean-up is on-going throughout the shift and at closing. Uniform shirt and name tag are required.

Campus Grill

Wait Staff  Daily 10-2:30, experience helpful
Wait on customers in a restaurant setting for lunch daily.
