DLS Overview

With the advent of a multitude of emerging instructional technologies, collegiate faculty members have new opportunities for engaging, interacting, and assessing their students. Whether it is through online instruction or through digital projects for student assessment, the 21st Century Classroom has arrived today. But, where can faculty and students go when they need support with technology integration? At Millersville University, it's the Digital Learning Studio.

Opening in the Spring 2010 semester, the Digital Learning Studio offers pedagogical support for faculty and students to integrate technology in classroom assessments. The DLS is a center where visitors can learn about powerful new technologies such as video and audio editing applications, Web 2.0 tools, tablet applications and so much more.

Besides offering assistance with technology-rich classroom projects, the DLS also provides digital equipment for students and faculty to borrow. By providing one-on-one instruction in a supportive manner, the DLS is helping the Millersville community gain experience with state of the art instructional technology.

Are you a student working on a technology-rich project for a class? Do you need some assistance working with word processing or presentation software? Stop in either DLS location and the tutors are there to help!
