Teaching at the middle level is certainly a unique experience. For those teachers considering a switch to the middle level or for experienced middle level teachers interested in learning some of the current research and best practice associated with the middle level child, this workshop is designed for you. This is an examination of related research, learning theory, and the wisdom of practice for Middle Level Education. Emphasis will be on participants learning practices that will have practical application to their own educational environments. Sample topics addressed include: social technologies and the middle level child, interdisciplinary teaching, scheduling, performance assessment, student advisory, developmental issues, multiple intelligence, motivation, diversity, inclusion, classroom management, parental involvement, and others.
