Every Education class you take at Millersville will have a field experience associated with it. This field experience is a critical part of your teacher preparation, and satisfactory performance in the course depends on completing the field experience.
Unsatisfactory records will prevent you from completing required field experiences in these courses, and this in turn will prevent you from completing these courses. A satisfactory clearance must show no record of any offense including summary or misdemeanor offenses.
If you suspect that you have any record of any type, you should make an appointment with Dr. Bray, Dean of the School of Education. Dr. Bray will explain your options. You should know that any expungement or pardon of offenses from your record can take several years, so it is important to contact Dr. Bray immediately, even if you do not plan to enroll in required education courses in the upcoming year. Dr. Bray is located in Room 102 Stayer Building and can be reached at 717-872-3379.
