One of the keys to an effective job search is your ability to develop your own personal brand that makes you stand out among other applicants.

A large part of your branding image is your resume and cover letter.  Following are some simple resume/ cover letter guidelines:

  • Translate and package your assets to fit the job
  • Convey what you learned as well as what you did
  • Quantify experiences
  • Control your information by how it’s placed on the resume or in the cover letter
  • Take credit for your contributions
