Millersville University Scholarships offered through the Office of Financial Aid

Preference will be given to students who have fulfilled credit requirements at Millersville University.

If a scholarship refers to credits earned, it is referring to the number of credits earned as of the completion of the Fall 2013 semester.  Please review the following scholarship requirements before applying:

American Association of University Women 

  • Be a member of the Senior Class (90+ credits earned)
  • Have completed 90 credit hours at Millersville University
  • Be a non-traditional female - 24 years of age or older
  • Be a resident of Lancaster County
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have financial need (as determined by the Office of Financial Aid)

AFSCME Local 2421 Scholarship 

  • Must be a full-time share member or dependent of a member of AFSCME Local 2421
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have financial need as determined by the Ofice of Financial Aid
  • Enrolled in a degree-seeking program
  • Completed a minimum of 30 credits

Campus Club Scholarship 

  • Be a member of the Junior Class (60-90 credits earned)
  • Maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher
  • Dependent partially or completely upon his or her own efforts for financing a college education.

Class of 1935 and Class of 1948 Scholarship 

  • Be a member of the Junior Class (60-90 credits earned)
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have financial need (as determined by the Director of Financial Aid)

Dr. Nathan C. Schaeffer Memorial Scholarship 

  • Be a resident of Lancaster County
  • Be a full or part-time UNDERGRADUATE or POST-UNDERGRADUATE student
  • Enrolled as an education major or in an education program
  • Maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid

Helen C. Riso/Commuting Student Association Scholarship 

  • Be a commuting student
  • Demonstrated noteworthy service to the Commuting Student Association
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00. Preference will be given to students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid

Laurene Cassady-Auker Scholarship 

  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid

Non-Traditional Student Scholarship 

  • Be an independent, undergraduate student who is returning to school
  • Completed 15 credit hours at Millersville University
  • Have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid

PSECU Scholarship

  • Be a PSECU member.  If you are not, you may contact PSECU at 717-872-6516 for membership information.
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid

Valborg Fletty Memorial Scholarship 

  • Be a member of the Senior class (90+ earned credits)
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid

Violet F. Markey Academic Scholarship 

  • Be in good academic standing — 3.0 or higher

Clarence Schock Foundation Scholarship

This is a scholarship awarded to incoming freshman (admitted for Fall 2014) who have financial need and are residents of, or currently enrolled in school districts in the following counties: Adams, Berks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York. 

This award is valued at $6600 for 4 years ($1200 for first year, $1600 for second year, $1800 for third year, and $2000 for fourth year), provided the student remains continuously enrolled full-time and has a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.  Students must also contintue to be a resident of the above listed counties.

Women's Giving Circle Scholarship 

  • Be a female
  • Have completed 85 credit hours at Millersville University
  • Have intention to be a member of the senior class for the 2014-2015 academic year
  • Be in good academic standing — GPA of 2.5 or higher

In addition to the application, the student will need to complete a typed narrative (not to exceed one page, double spaced, 12pt font) which addresses the question: How does the mission of Millersville University Women's Giving Circle relate to you?

Fitz Dixton Memorial Scholarship

  • Undergraduates student applicants must have passed 45 credits at a PASSHE university with at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Graduate student applicants must have passed 45 credits at a PASSHE university with at least a 3.5 GPA
  • Applicants must show financial need based on standard need analysis from the FAFSA

William D. Greenelee Scholarship

Deadline: May 16, 2014

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate at a PASSHE university
  • Must major in political science, journalism or communications
  • Applicants must have earned 60 credits or more with a GPA of a 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated financial need based on standard need analysis from the FAFSA will be considered

The Quido And Anna Pichini Merit Scholarship

Deadline: May 16, 2014

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate at a PASSHE university or an incoming freshman enrolled as a full time student
  • Must have a GPA of a 3.5 or better
  • Must participate in voluntary service at his/her university, high school, or community
  • First preference given to a student who resides in Berks County who is also of either Italian or Polish descent
  • Second preference given to a student who resides in PA and meets the academic and volunteer services eligibility requirements

Stephen And Sandy Sheller Scholarship

Deadline: May 16, 2014

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate at a PASSHE university pursuing an undergraduate degree leading to a career in law, social services or art therapy
  • Must have passed 60 credits at a PASSHE university with at least a 3.5 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need based on analysis from the FAFSA

Wells Fargo Endowed Scholarship For Academic Excellence

Deadline: May 16, 2014

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate at a PASSHE university
  • Must reside in one of the following PA counties: Allegheny, Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Montgomery, Northhampton, Philadelphia, Pike and York
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
  • Must have demonstrated academic excellence in high school-top 25% of graduating class and a GPA of 3.2 of higher

Deadline: May 16, 2014

  • Must be a full-time junior or senior  at a PASSHE university
  • Must reside in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry or York counties
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Healthcare; including but not limited to Nursing, Physician Assistant, Pre-Physician Assistant, Pre-Medicine, Biology, Health Science, Audiology, Speech Pathology, Medical Imagery, Physical Therapy, Health Education, Exercise Science, Health Services Administration, etc.
