Functions

  1. Review all proposed changes in academic policies, regulations, structure and related matters at the undergraduate level and present its recommendations to the Faculty Senate.
  2. Initiate recommendations in academic policies, regulations, structure and related matters at the undergraduate level and present its recommendations to the Faculty Senate.

Membership

  1. Two faculty representatives from each of the four academic units (Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, Science & Mathematics) elected by Faculty Senate for overlapping two- year terms, and one representative from non-school faculty elected by Faculty Senate for a two-year term. No faculty member may serve more than two consecutive terms.  No two members may be elected from the same department. This limitation shall not apply to the committee chairperson.
  2. Two student representatives, elected by Student Senate each fall for overlapping two- year terms.
  3. The Provost and the Registrar or designee(s), as ex officio non-voting member(s).
  4. The chairperson is elected by the Faculty Senate from the Faculty Senate membership at the first Senate meeting of the fall semester for a three-year term, provided he/she retains Faculty Senate membership.
  5. The terms of the chair and faculty members begin in September and end in August of the appropriate year.
