The Master of Education in Gifted and Talented Education and the Master of Science in Emergency Management degree programs are continuing to accept applications for admission to the fall 2008 term.
The Master of Education degree in Gifted Education is designed to provide the specialized knowledge needed by teacher and other educational personnel who work with gifted and able students (K-12). The curriculum is appropriate for teachers whether they provide instruction in special programs for the gifted or teach in inclusive settings.
The MSEM program, which is offered totally online, was developed in response to a nationwide need identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for well-trained individuals to plan and coordinate emergency management efforts. Graduates will be prepared to serve in a variety of positions in the emergency management field and to attain certified emergency manager status. The 30-credit program has been designed so that it can be completed in two years.
