  • Come Join faculty, staff, administrators and students celebrate MU’s internationalization initiatives. Lunch provided. 

Embracing Internationalization Workshop I

  • Old Main Room, Bolger Center 2:00 – 3:00 pm
  • Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate to learn skills that contribute to more effective cross-cultural communication

Global Film: El país del miedo (Spanish)

  • McComsey Auditorium 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Carlos, a peaceful man, looks how his quiet life is shaken when a girl aged 13 starts to extort him. Carlos’s inability to defend himself pushes him to a series of anguished situations that would lead him to make the wrong decisions. Refreshment provided.

Study Abroad Open House and Passport Day

  • Global Education (Cumberland House) 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Stop by the Global Education office to find out about opportunities available of studying abroad. FREE passport pictures for everyone who completes a passport application between 10 am – 12:00 pm. Millersville USPS (George Street) will be accepting passport applications from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm.

Embracing Internationalization Workshop II

  • Faculty is encouraged to meet and discuss off- and on- campus strategies to internationalize the curriculum.

The Global Racial Dialogue: Exploring Racial Identity and Race Relations to Facilitate Racial Understanding on an International Level

  • McNairy 106 4:30- 6:30 pm
  • Join Millersville University students from around the world in a dialogue about race on an international level. The Global Racial Dialogue will allow Millersville University students to share their racial stories with peers from around the world to discover the similarities and differences of race relations and racial identity. The goal of The Global Racial Dialogue is to help students to develop the capacity to engage in honest, open discussions with peers from various social identities in order to facilitate community building and solve the world’s racial problems. Refreshment provided. 

Global Film: La Haine (French)

  • McComsey 133 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Aimlessly passing their days in the dead-end suburbia, Vinz, Hubery, and Said -- a Jew, an African, and an Arab-- give human faces to France's immigrant populations. La Haine is a landmark of contemporary French cinema and a gripping reflection of its country's ongoing identity crisis. Refreshments provided.
