Details about Chapter 49-2
While Chapter 49-2 primarily focuses on the ways in which teacher certification will change for those interested in early childhood, elementary, and special education programs, it also mandates that preparation programs must include instruction in the areas of Special Education and English as a Second Language. Furthermore, Chapter 49-2 indicates that teachers who need to obtain the Instructional II Certification will have to acquire six graduate credits in these topic areas as well.
