Undergraduate Degree: Journalism B.S., University of Wyoming, 2008

Why did you choose MU?

I chose MU because I grew up in Wyoming and wanted to experience living somewhere else. Also, being offered an assistantship made my decision easier to come to MU.

What has been your experience so far?

One of the most positive experiences of my graduate career has been my field placements. Experiencing an internship and what it is like to work in my field of choice is invaluable.

What is your favorite thing about MU?

I love working in the department as a GA and getting to know the professor's well. I also like that my classes are not so big that I do not get to know the students and professors.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I hope to find a job in Lancaster County using my degree. Traveling would be nice too.

Involvement at MU:

I am the president of the Graduate Social Work Organization (GSWO).

Work Experience:

I am currently a Graduate Assistant in the Social Work Department at Millersville University. I am interning at Domestic Violence Services in Lancaster and my former internship was with the School District of Lancaster. Previously, I worked at a domestic violence and sexual assault program in Laramie, Wyoming.
