Medications and Equipment

Self Care Packs:

Self Care Packs are available to students for pick-up by calling 717-871-5250. Each pack includes medications and medical supplies to assist with the treatment of minor symptoms such as:

Wound Care: band-aids, antibiotic ointment, adhesive covering, gauze sponges.

Stomach Upset: ginger ale, crackers, Diotame (equal to Pepto-Bismol)

Pain: Addaprin (ibuprofen) or non-aspirin (acetaminophen) pain reliever

Allergy (Environmental): Loratadine (Claritin)

Cold/Flu: Addaprin (ibuprofen) or non-aspirin (acetaminophen), Nasal Decongestants, lozenges, disposable thermometers, salt packets (for gargle/rinse)

**Sanitary supplies and condoms/dental dams also available upon request.

Medications   

Limited selections of prescription and over-the-counter medications are available at Health Services, many of which are free or available for a nominal fee. Medications that are prescribed by a Health Services practitioner and not available at Health Services can be filled and purchased at any local pharmacy. Please refer to our website for a list of local pharmacies.

Equipment

Some equipment and orthopedic appliances are available for purchase from Health Services.
