Volunteer Solutions is a searchable database of over 190 nonprofit organizations and more than 200 volunteer opportunities throughout Lancaster.

The After School Corps (ASC) is a program where students from Millersville University are equipped with tools to become tutors for elementary, middle, and high school students. The program currently operates in King Elementary and the McCaskey High School campus in the School District of Lancaster. 

Angel Tree is a program started in 1970 by Majors Charles and Shirley White of the Salvation Army to provide underprivileged children with gifts for the Holiday season.

GreenVille is a civic engagement opportunity currently developing through Volunteer Central. The GreenVille program seeks to promote service projects related to energy conservation and recycling. Please complete one of the following surveys to allow us to gain a more accurate picture of our students, faculty, and staff’s involvement with energy conservation.

First Book provides new books to children in need addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy and access to books.  Meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at Huntingdon House (across the street from the University Store).  For more information, email Millersville_pa@firstbook.org.

The Second Mile plans, organizes, and offers activities and programs for children and adults who work with them to promote self-confidence as well as physical, academic, and personal success.
