Today's Help Desk Services is a combination of SafetyNet - IT's student technical services organization - and the original Help Desk. SafetyNet is located inside Boyer's Frederick Street entrance and supports all walk-in services.  The Help Desk is located on the second floor and supports all non-walk in services via telephone, email, and its chat tool.  Classroom and off-hour support are handled through the Help Desk.

Scheduled Maintenance

Important Notices:

The my'VILLE, Online Music Portfolio, and Banner systems are scheduled for maintenance every Monday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please plan your schedule accordingly; updates, files, or bookmarks must be completed and stored before 6:00 p.m. Systems will be returned to service at or before 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The NOC (Network Operations Center) performs maintenance on Thursday mornings from 4:00 a.m. through 7:00 a.m. Service interruptions should be expected at that time.

The second Saturday of each month is reserved for miscellaneous hardware and software maintenance. Information Technology will attempt to notify the university community of planned outages in advance, but long-term plans involving the use of technology on the second Saturday of each month should be avoided.
