OFF-CAMPUS STUDENTS - For assistance in protecting yourself from computer viruses, purchase antivirus software. One such product is Norton AntiVirus, provided by Symantec.

FREE TOOLS - The following tools will help in the battle against these viruses:

• Stinger - This tool will identify around 30 different viruses and remove most of them.
• Sobig - This tool, along with the instructions provided, will remove the Sobig virus.
• Blaster - This tool, along with the instructions provided, will remove the Blaster virus.
• Microsoft's Blaster Patch - This patch is necessary to protect your Windows 2000 or XP system from the Blaster virus.
• Other Virus Removal Tools - This is a compilation of tools available from Symantec Corporation, the makers of Norton AntiVirus Software.
