Summer 2009 Training & Workshops

Information Technology (IT) offers a number of learning opportunities for Millersville University faculty, staff, and administrator. If you would like to attend a workshop, please complete the online registration form.

Because of the high demand and limited seating, advanced registration is required. These workshops are for current Millersville University faculty & staff only. For information not presented on the online registration web page, please send an email to: wmsworkshops@millersville.edu or call our receptionist at ext 3341 as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE that because of enrollment limitations, the classes will fill quickly. If you sign up for a class and can not attend, please contact WMS or call our receptionist at ext 3341 as soon as possible so we can let someone from a waiting list into the class. Sessions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Blackboard Audio Chat Tool (Wimba) Overview

Description:

Faculty will learn how to use a new audio tool inside of Blackboard(Bb). This tool allows for audio chat, audio discussion, and the ability to create audio files directly into the Bb system.

Teaching with Screen Capture software (Jing, Captivate, Articulate)

Description:

Software enabling you to capture and share computer screen activity... Create a PowerPoint with supporting audio, walk your students through the use of a specific piece of software, provide quick instructions with audio and motion via an online flash movie... all without programming knowledge or multimedia skills.
