Dutcher Hall is an academic hall/theatre, built in 1890, renamed in 1978 and renovated in 2006. Dr. Dean Dutcher (1885-1974) was an active scholar, earning six degrees (three of them in one year.) He received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Colorado. At Millersville, Dutcher taught history, guidance and ethics over 25 years of service (1927-1953) .
