Studio for Students

This program welcomes public, private, and home-schooled students to exhibit their original art in a gallery setting at Millersville University's Winter Center for the Visual and Performing Arts.  Each exhibition hangs for a full month (October, November, December, February, March, and April), and a reception is held for each participating school.  The eye-catching work of young area artists has brightened the Winter Center and been enjoyed by University faculty, staff, students, and visitors.   There is no fee for participation.

If interested in participating please contact Barry Kornhauser

The 2014-15 exhibitions will feature the following schools and programs:

October – Linden Hall School for Girls

November – Washington Elementary School, School District of Lancaster

December – Park Elementary School, Columbia Borough School District

February – “Something To Crow About” student artwork from throughout the region

March – Columbia Junior High School, Columbia Borough School District

April – Lancaster Country Day School

School Day Matinees

School Day Matinees feature engaging, age-appropriate presentations from a variety of performing arts genres, all with meaningful curricular connections. These works feature the highest artistic quality and the lowest ticket prices in the region. Study Guides are provided in advance of each performance, and workshops led by Millersville University educators can be included to enrich the experience.

"Thought provoking, dramatic, humorous, and entertaining . . . thank you for the valuable educational experience."

- Janice Estabrook, I.U. 13
