Millersville University Chorale
Millersville University Chorale

The Millersville University Chorale sings the highest quality music from the vast history of the choral repertoire, focusing on masterpieces and modern compositions. Comprised of 32 of Millersville's finest students from throughout the University community, each singer must pass a rigorous vocal and musical audition to earn a roster position in the University Choir.
Performing widely on campus and in the community as ambassadors of Millersville University, in recent years The Chorale has sung concerts in New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Boston, Baltimore, Reading, and Harrisburg, and by invitation for Pennsylvania music teachers at the 2001 Pennsylvania Music Educator's Association in-service conference in Hershey, receiving a standing ovation. The Chorale toured California in January 2003, performing to packed houses in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Modesto and were greeted with overwhelming responses. The Chorale performed a special concert for Millersville University president Dr. Joseph Caputo in Palos Verdes Estates, CA as part of his farewell tour and sang for the casts, crew and audiences of the Drew Carey Show and Less than Perfect. The Chorale toured to Mexico in the summer of 2005, and joined the Bethlehem Bach Choir and orchestra in a performance of the B-Minor Mass in March of 2005. In recent years The Chorale has performed Orff's Carmina Burana, Faure's Requiem, Handel's The Messiah, Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem, Vivaldi's Gloria, Britten's Ceremony of Carols, Mozart's Requiem and David Fanshawe's African Sanctus.
