Marcia Englar holds a bachelor of music and a bachelor of music education degree from Augustana College (Illinois), and a master of music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music (Baltimore, Maryland) in guitar performance. Her musical training includes performances in master classes with world- renowned classical guitarists Christopher Parkening and Manuel Barrueco. She is a member of the Guitar Foundation of America. Marcia teaches private lessons in the York (Pa.) area, directs the Guitar Ensemble at Millersville University, and performs in ensembles and as a soloist in the York-Lancaster-Harrisburg area. She enjoys performing both classical and popular music, and has performed with international entertainers including Regis Philbin, Engelbert Humperdinck, the Mills Brothers, Bob Hope, Bobby Vinton, The Fifth Dimension, and the Lettermen. Professor Englar also holds an associate of science degree in computer science from the Pennsylvania State University and has completed additional studies in Music Technology and Production at Berklee College of Music.
