Who Are We?

We are the Millersville University Collegiate Chapter 92 of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). The Millersville Chapter of NAfME No. 92 was organized to promote music education. The organization sponsors guest speakers and performances, clinics, field trips and student work at Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) conventions.  Members must be music education majors or students with areas of interest in music. Membership is not open to professional teachers. Monthly meetings occur every first Tuesday at 7:30PM.

What is NAfME?

Check out www.nafme.org which gives detailed information on The National Association for Music Education. Active members will receive a personalized membership card, monthly periodicals, the "Music Educator's Journal (MEJ), the "Teaching Music" magazine, and online access to enhanced and back issues of music education journals. With an NAfME Collegiate membership, you will also receive NAfME Collegiate Newslink. This monthly e-newsletter is designed to meet the needs of collegiate members by offering articles and news which explains how to expand upon your classroom education to better prepare yourself for the real experience of teaching.  All members receive a 25% discount on all MENC-published resources including publications, videos, and other items.

What is PMEA?

PMEA stands for the Pennsylvania Music Educator's Association. It is an affiliated branch of NAfME and offers annual conferences with a focus on music education within the state of Pennsylvania.  They also offer the Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educator's Association for Pennsylvania students.  Check out their website at www.pmea.net and be sure to visit the PCMEA portion of the website.
