Beethoven's crowning masterpiece is the one of the most significant pieces of music ever composed.

Sisters Ruth Kenote and Rebekah AuYeung are joined by two outstanding vocalists from last November's Carmina Burana, Matthew Garrett and Keith Harris, along with the Lancaster Symphony Chorus, comprised of talent from our community and the students of Franklin & Marshall College (Dr. William Wright, director), Elizabethtown College (Dr. Matthew Fritz, director), and Millersville University (Dr. Mark A. Boyle, director). 


Choral Concert: The Poet's Love

Join the Keystone Singers and The University Choir as they explore beautiful poetry and prose set to music. Hear the poetry of Robert Burns, Wordsworth, George Herbert, Shakespeare, and even Lincoln's Gettysburg Address taken to new heights when cast as choral music. Our first choral concert in our new performance hall promises to be a great one!


Choral Concert: American Originals: Spirituals, Gospel, Barbershop, and All That Jazz!

On November 18, a performance featuring the Marauder Men's Glee Club, Cantilena, 8 to the the Bar and special guests the Millersville University Gospel Choir and area barbershop quartet, Break from Blue Collar will explore some original American genres. As the name implies, "American Originals: Gospel, Spirituals, Barbershop and All that Jazz" will include classic and new spirituals, roaring gospel numbers, jazz delights and even some barbershop tunes! This event will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Steinman Hall at the Ware Center, Millersville University Lancaster.

Joining the choirs will be baritone AJ Walker, a Millersville alum, in a performance of Kirk Mechem's concert spiritual from his opera John Brown. Brown was a violent abolitionist who wanted to end slavery by any means necessary. In addition, new Millersville University music faculty member José Garcia will join the combined choirs in a rendition of Rise up, Shepherd!


Mendelssohn's Elijah with the Bach Choir of Bethlehem

March 13 (8 PM) - Strathmore Hall, North Bethesda, MD

On March 9, the Bach Choir of Bethlehem, the oldest choir of its kind in the United States, will perform "Mendelssohn's Elijah." Joining Maestro Greg Funfgeld, of the Bach Choir and Orchestra, will be the Millersville University Keystone Singers. This event will be held at 3 PM at the Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center. The University Caledar is currently incorrect listing the event at 7:30 PM.

Dr. Mark A. Boyle, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music at Millersville, will also perform as the tenor soloist.

Ticket Information: This event is open to the public. Tickets cost $45 for Clair Performance Hall seating; $10 for students and Biemesderfer Concert Hall simulcast seating. Tickets may be purchased online, at MUTicketsOnline.com, at the Student Memorial Center Ticket Office (Room 103), by calling the Ticket Office at 717-872-3811 or at the Ware Center Box Office (42 N. Prince St., Lancaster). Ticket Offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The Winter Center Box Office will be opening one hour prior to showtime.
