Each year, the many divisions of the Department of Music organize events to educate our students, enlighten the community, and bring performers from around the world to Millersville. Here you will find links to the individual Symposia with detailed information about the offerings. See what opportunities lie beyond the classroom and rehearsal. The Choral/Vocal Symposium includes all events involving our choral ensembles, recitals, opera performances, masterclasses, and various other opportunities. Organized by both Dr. Mark A. Boyle, Director of Choral Activities and Professor Kristin Sims, Head of Vocal Studies, a wide variety of performances, lectures, and interactive gatherings occur each year.
Dr. Vera Volchansky, Director of Orchestras oversees the Orchestra Symposium. Each year, our orchestral ensembles perform works for the vast repertoire of symphonic literature. Masterclasses and guest artist performances provide endless opportunity for students and the greater community.

The Keyboard Division of Millersville University is pleased to announce an
exciting array of artists and events as part of this year's Keyboard Symposium.
The Percussion Symposium is organized by James Armstrong. Masterclasses, performances, and special events round out the scheduled events, with the annual Day of Percussion as the featured event.
Symposia events for African Dance and Drumming events include guest performers, special events, and performing opportunities for students enrolled in the Intro to West African Dance and Drumming classes. Please check the listing for current events of the year.
